Full List: 12 Security Agencies Behind the Successful Rescue of Oyo Schoolchildren

A coordinated security operation involving no fewer than 12 security agencies and local security outfits has led to the successful rescue of schoolchildren and teachers who were abducted from schools in Oyo State.
The rescue mission, described as one of the most coordinated security responses in recent times, brought together federal and state security agencies, intelligence units, the military, as well as local vigilantes and hunters, all working under a unified command to secure the victims’ safe return.
The operation reportedly involved personnel from the Nigerian Army, including the 2 Division and Special Forces, alongside the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) and the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), which coordinated intelligence and operational strategies.
Other security agencies that played vital roles include the Nigerian Navy, Nigerian Air Force, Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), National Intelligence Agency (NIA), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
The operation also benefited from the invaluable support of Amotekun Corps, local vigilantes, and hunters, whose knowledge of the local terrain proved crucial in tracking down the kidnappers and facilitating the rescue mission.
