Cabin Cleaner Hailed for Returning Purse With $730 Found on British Airways Flight
A cabin cleaner, Ibrahim Bala Zakari, has earned widespread praise for returning a purse containing $730 and several credit cards that he discovered while cleaning a British Airways aircraft.
Zakari found the purse on seat 35K of Flight BA8382 and immediately handed it over to the British Airways Cabin Services Duty Manager, rather than keeping the valuables.
The purse and its contents were later passed to the airline’s security team for proper handling.
Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO), Zakari’s employer, commended his integrity, describing his actions as a reflection of the company’s core values of honesty and professionalism.
In a statement, SAHCO said Zakari’s conduct “sets a standard worth emulating” and highlighted that honesty remains a vital virtue in the aviation industry and beyond.
