My Wife Is the Head of My Family— Actor Elesho
Nollywood actor Elesho has shared a personal family experience, explaining how he handled a difficult situation involving his mother and his wife.
According to him, his mother had been battling an eye condition for some years, which led him to bring her into his home after she had been staying with her younger sibling. He said he had already been supporting her and fulfilling his responsibilities as a son throughout the period.
He recounted that on the day he went to bring her, his mother expressed deep frustration with her living situation and reportedly said she would rather be “thrown into the river or sea” than remain where she was, insisting she was no longer comfortable.
Following this, he brought her to Lagos as an emergency visitor. However, upon arriving home, he said he left her in the car and went upstairs to inform his wife first. He stated that he prostrated before his wife and told her he had brought a visitor, which she later discovered was his mother.
He explained that his wife questioned the decision, prompting him to narrate the situation and his mother’s insistence that she could no longer stay where she was. He added that he told his wife there was no other place available for his mother at that time.
Elesho emphasized that in his household, “my wife is the head of my family,” noting that he felt it was important to respect her role while also handling his mother’s situation responsibly.
