Democracy Day: Renewed Hope Street Crusader Congratulates Nigerians, Hails President Tinubu and Minister Bunmi Tunji-Ojo

As Nigeria marks the 2026 Democracy Day celebration, the National Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Street Crusader, Ashiwaju Yinka Richards, has extended warm congratulations to Nigerians while commending the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for their contributions to national development and democratic governance.
In a statement released today to Newsmen to commemorate the occasion, signed by Nifemi Gideon on.behalf of the National Cordinator, the group described Democracy Day as a significant reminder of the sacrifices made by Nigeria’s past heroes who fought tirelessly to establish and sustain democratic rule in the country.
The group noted that their courage, resilience, and commitment to justice continue to inspire generations of Nigerians.
According to him, democracy remains the most suitable system of government for Nigeria, as it provides citizens with the opportunity to participate in governance, express their views freely, and hold leaders accountable.
The Renewed Hope Street Crusader National Coordinator praised President Tinubu for his determination to reposition the nation through the Renewed Hope Agenda, stating that despite prevailing challenges, the administration has remained focused on laying a solid foundation for economic growth, security, and national prosperity.
He also applauded the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his innovative reforms and dedication to improving service delivery within the ministry, describing him as one of the shining lights of the current administration.
The National Cordinator, Yinka Richards explained that the Renewed Hope Street Crusader is a political support group with structures across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), committed to mobilizing grassroots support for the re-election of President Tinubu and promoting the ideals of good governance across the country.
He urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in supporting democratic institutions, promoting peaceful coexistence, and contributing positively to nation-building.
“As we celebrate Democracy Day, let us remember the sacrifices of our heroes, cherish our democratic freedoms, and continue to work together for a stronger, united, and prosperous Nigeria,” he said.
The group reaffirmed its commitment to supporting policies and programs that will advance the Renewed Hope Agenda while encouraging citizens to remain hopeful about the nation’s future.
