Suspected terrorists on Monday evening attacked a settlement in Sodo, Lafiagi area of Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State, killing one resident and abducting several others during the invasion.

According to residents, the attack threw the community into panic as gunshots rented the air while villagers fled for safety.
“The terrorists invaded the Fulani settlement on Monday evening. They killed one person and abducted several others. The entire community was thrown into fear,” one of the sources said.
Another resident disclosed that the attackers arrived on motorcycles and moved through the settlement unhindered during the operation.
In a video obtained by SaharaReporters, some of the gunmen were seen riding motorcycles shortly before or after the attack, further highlighting the growing activities of armed groups operating in parts of Kwara North.
