If Army and IGP Have Power, Let Them Arrest Gumi” – primate Ayodele Blast IGP & Army General 

Primate Ayodele has sparked fresh controversy after openly questioning why security agencies have failed to arrest controversial Islamic cleric Ahmad Gumi despite his repeated comments on terrorism and banditry.

The cleric challenged the Inspector General of Police and the Nigerian Army, saying if they truly have the power and seriousness to fight insecurity, they should go after Gumi.

According to Ayodele, if an ordinary Nigerian made such statements, the person would have been arrested immediately and possibly sentenced to life imprisonment.
