“I will continue to tell you the truth”, Asari Dokubo breaks silence amid Fubara’s ordeal

Former Niger Delta militant leader, His Royal Majesty, Da Amakiri Tubo, Alhaji Mujahid Abubakar Asari Dokubo, the Amanyanabo of Torusarama Piri has seemingly reacted to the drama trailing the All Progressive Congress (APC) primary elections, particularly the controversial withdrawal of governor Sim Fubara from APC guber race.

In video he posted on his Facebook page, the vociferous former militant leader, vaguely commented on the controversy and dramatic outcomes of primary elections across the country while carefully and tacitly avoiding the ordeal of governor Sim Fubara.

I will continue to tell you the truth, you might not like the truth but only the truth that can guarantee you peace in this world. Nigerians are going for another election, so far, we have seen primaries conducted by some of the political parties and we have seen the dramas associated with these primary elections but I am not going to duel on that as a traditional ruler”, Asari Dokubo said in the beginning of the video he posted on his Facebook page.

He subsequently recounted how he benefited from late president Muhammadu Buhari’s administration despite his dissenting views on the Buhari’s administration. According to Asari Dokubo, while he was a strong critic of late president Muhammadu Buhari, the former president found him worthy of being awarded a multimillion naira contract.

He claims that despite his supporting president Tinubu presidential aspiration and taking multiple risks for him to be elected Nigeria’s president, Tinubu who shares same Islamic faith as he, did not find him worthy of being awarded a contract.

While accusing president Tinubu of abandonment, Asari Dokubo insisted that he still supports president Tinubu over other presidential aspirants.
