APC Issues Fresh Guidelines for Direct Primaries, Confirms Ward-Level Voting

For Direct Primaries:

1) Every member of the party is eligible to vote for a candidate using the option A4 and by simple majority.

2) Voting would take place at the ward level.

3) Candidates shall have their agents to monitor the process.

4) Results would be collated at the local level  and move to the state level.

5) The election will be conducted and results collated by party officials assigned by the party (Not INEC).

6) INEC will monitor the primaries.

7) Final results will be announced at the state level.

8) members can use the voters cards for authentication if they don’t have the slips.

9) the voters register certified by INEC will be used for the primary
