They Promised to ‘Do Me Well – Saheed Osupa Speaks on Fallout with Seyi Makinde

Popular Fuji icon Saheed Osupa has finally broken his silence over his reported fallout with Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, shedding light on what he described as an unresolved dispute stemming from the election campaign period.
In a candid statement, Osupa revealed that he was officially engaged to perform at campaign events, with assurances that he would be adequately rewarded after the election victory.

According to the veteran artiste, those promises were never fulfilled.
Beyond unpaid fees, the singer also alleged that his vehicle was damaged during the campaign activities.

He explained that a replacement was promised as compensation, which led to the eventual provision of a new car.
However, Osupa insists the gesture has been misunderstood by the public, stressing that it was not a gift but part of an agreement tied to damages incurred.

Addressing the wave of public reactions trailing the controversy, Osupa urged Nigerians to avoid rushing to conclusions without understanding the full context of the situation.

The development has sparked broader conversations about the relationship between entertainers and political actors, especially during election cycles. Analysts say such disputes highlight the need for clearer agreements and accountability in political engagements involving creatives.

As of now, there has been no official response from Governor Seyi Makinde or his representatives regarding the claims.

The situation continues to draw attention across political and entertainment circles, with many watching closely to see if both parties will move toward resolution or allow the disagreement to deepen.
