The incident, which has raised fresh concerns about highway security in Kogi State, involved a bus operated by Chisco Transport. According to police sources, the vehicle was ambushed by armed men who intercepted it while in transit, forcing passengers into a terrifying ordeal.
Security operatives were immediately mobilized after receiving distress alerts. Their rapid response led to a coordinated operation in the surrounding area, resulting in the successful rescue of one of the abducted victims and the arrest of seven suspects believed to be connected to the attack.
