Popular Nollywood actress Juliana Olayode, also known as Toyosi, has opened up about a deeply troubling experience from her past, revealing allegations of sexual abuse involving her younger sister and other young girls in their church.

Speaking during an interview on the With Chude program with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the actress shared details of what she described as a painful and complex situation. She explained that the decision to speak publicly about the issue was not made lightly, given the sensitive nature of the experiences and the number of people involved.

According to Olayode, the pastor of their church was responsible for abusing her younger sister, as well as other young girls within the congregation. She stated that the revelations were part of a broader and deeply emotional story that affected several individuals.

“Our pastor was sexually abusing my younger sister and other young girls in our church,” she said.

The actress noted that while she felt compelled to speak out, she had to carefully consider how much information to share publicly. She explained that revealing every detail could potentially harm others who may not be ready to have their experiences disclosed.

“Going into all the details about what happened would affect other people who are not sure that they would want their story to be told,” she said.

Olayode further explained that her decision to eventually share the story was driven by a sense of responsibility and a desire to protect vulnerable individuals, particularly children and young people within religious environments.
