‘Delusional’ — Skales fumes as Cubana Chief Priest claims Jos killings meant to embarrass Tinubu on his birthday
Skales has criticised Cubana Chief Priest over his controversial claim that the recent deadly attack in Jos was intended to embarrass President Bola Tinubu on his 74th birthday.
The assault occurred on the evening of March 29, when suspected gunmen stormed the Gari Ya Waye area of Angwan Rukuba in Jos North.
The attack left more than 20 residents dead and several others injured, prompting families to flee as gunfire echoed through the community.
In the aftermath, numerous celebrities condemned the violence on social media including Jos-born rapper Ice Prince, actor and activist Mr. Macaroni and singer Peter Okoye.
In an Instagram post, Cubana Chief Priest, the socialite, said he had been deeply affected by the attack, particularly by a viral video showing a mother and her child.
He also criticised the state governor, suggesting he appeared more fearful than the residents.
“Have been cold in the last few days, the video of that woman & her child can’t get out of my head,” he wrote.
“When will these killings stop. How do people desire happiness in killing one another? When will this ever stop?
“The Governor in Jos pulled up in a Bunker does it mean everyone should now pull un in bunkers because he is scared more than the people.”
The socialite further claimed the attackers represented a failure of security agencies, calling the situation “an embarrassment to our president on his birthday”.
He concluded with a prayer for President Tinubu and for the souls of the victims.
“To lead a state, you have to be fearless, you have to have the ability to lay your life for the people. feel for everyone in Jos. This was clearly done to embarrass our president on his birthday,” he added.
“Security agencies should brace up to their task allowing this kind of embarrassment on your principal is embarrassing.
“I pray God gives President Tinubu The energy To Select People Cable to Lead With Him. May the soul of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in Peace.”
In response, Skales rejected Chief Priest’s interpretation of the event, accusing him of losing sight of the human tragedy.
“This guy is delusional … I can’t believe he said that … life’s lost and all you care about is the president being embarrassed… I can’t believe you sat down and wrote this shit .. where is your conscience… you have kids don’t you also,” he wrote.
