Secondary school students strip their classmate naked, sexually assault her

A disturbing video going viral online has shown female students at Seat of Wisdom Secondary School, Aliade, Benue State, allegedly stripping a fellow female student naked and sexually harassing her.

According to findings, the incident reportedly happened within the school premises, drawing condemnation from social media users.

Authorities, including the Benue State Government, Benue State Police Command, and the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, have been called upon to investigate the matter and bring those responsible to justice, according to posts shared by concerned users online.

As of the time of reporting this, the identity of the victim is yet to be made public.

Videos and photos of the incident were allegedly captured by the perpetrators themselves, adding to public concern about the seriousness of the incident.

Reacting to the video, NAPTIP, through its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday, said it has mandated its Benue State Command to take swift action.

“This is indeed a sad development. The case has been forwarded to our Benue State Command, which has been directed to immediately liaise with the relevant agencies in the state to ensure swift and appropriate action on the matter,” NAPTIP wrote.
