No Lawsuit Filed”  – ADC Ondo Chairman Dismisses Claims of Legal Challenge

The Ondo State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has strongly denied reports of a purported lawsuit challenging the party’s Congress Committee, describing the claim as false and misleading.

In a statement issued by the State Chairman, Barrister Wole Ademoyegun, the party distanced itself from any legal action allegedly filed at the Federal High Court, Abuja.

He emphasized that neither he nor the Ondo State leadership was consulted or involved in such a move, warning that the claim appears to be a calculated attempt to sow confusion and disrupt the party’s activities ahead of its forthcoming congress.

The chapter reaffirmed its loyalty to the national leadership and reiterated its commitment to unity, transparency, and due process within the party.

Full statement reads:

DISCLAIMER OF PURPORTED SUIT AGAINST THE CREATION OF ADC CONGRESS COMMITTEE

Attention has been drawn to a purported suit allegedly filed at the Federal High Court, Abuja, seeking to challenge and nullify the creation of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Congress Committee across the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory by the National Working Committee.

I wish to categorically state that this suit is false, misleading, and does not represent the position of African Democratic Congress Ondo State Chapter.
As the duly recognized State Chairman of ADC in Ondo State, I Barrister Wole Ademoyegun was neither consulted nor involved in any such legal action. The claim that such a suit exists is a deliberate attempt to create confusion, disrupt party activities, and undermine the leadership of the National Working Committee.

It must be clearly emphasized that this alleged suit is fake and a calculated distraction targeted at destabilizing the leadership of the party under the distinguished guidance of Senator David Mark-led National Leadership.

The African Democratic Congress remains committed to unity, transparency, and due process. Peace and cohesion within the party nationwide are of utmost importance, especially as we prepare for the forthcoming Congress.
In Ondo State, we fully align with and support all lawful and legitimate processes put in place by the National Working Committee to ensure a successful and credible Congress.

Members of the party and the general public are therefore advised to disregard this unfounded claim in its entirety.

Thank you.
Barrister Wole Ademoyegun
Chairman, African Democratic Congress (ADC)
Ondo State
