A prominent Nigerian cleric, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a fresh warning regarding Nigeria’s political landscape, cautioning that poor strategic decisions could undermine future leadership outcomes.

Speaking during a recent sermon, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church expressed concern about the potential challenges facing President Bola Tinubu’s political future, particularly as it relates to preparations for a possible second term. Ayodele warned that internal missteps, especially in the selection of advisers, could significantly weaken governance and political stability.

According to him, leadership success in the coming years will depend heavily on the quality of individuals entrusted with key advisory roles. “One of the problems that Tinubu will have for his second term, he will pick wrong people as his think tank and these people will not be able to navigate properly. They will mislead him,” Ayodele said.
