Driver escape as Bandits Attack Commercial Vehicle in Kogi

Fear gripped commuters on Saturday evening after suspected armed bandits attacked a commercial vehicle along the Eruku–Egbe road corridor linking Kwara State and Kogi State.
The incident occurred on March 14, 2026, along the stretch between the town of Eruku and Egbe, a route frequently used by commuters traveling to Odo‑Ere.
According to reports from residents and travelers familiar with the route, the commercial vehicle was ambushed by armed bandits who attempted to intercept it while en route to its destination. However, the driver, identified simply as ID, managed to escape the attack, foiling the criminals’ plan.
