Israeli Air Force Says Headquarters Of Hezbollah Destroyed In Beirut As Middle-East Crisis Deepens

In a post on its official X account, the IAF said it “completed yesterday several additional waves of strikes targeting infrastructure of the terrorist organisation Hezbollah in Beirut and southern Lebanon.”

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) announced that “additional headquarters of the terrorist organisation Hezbollah in Beirut were attacked and destroyed, from which the organisation’s terrorists operated to advance terror plots against the State of Israel and its citizens.”

In a post on its official X account, the IAF said it “completed yesterday several additional waves of strikes targeting infrastructure of the terrorist organisation Hezbollah in Beirut and southern Lebanon.”

Since the start of Operation “Roar of the Lion,” the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have been “striking headquarters of the terrorist organisation Hezbollah on a broad scale, impairing the organisation’s command and control capabilities, its economic situation, and the munitions at its disposal.”

The post further highlighted that “the terrorist organisation Hezbollah systematically positions its infrastructure among population concentrations in civilian areas throughout the State of Lebanon, therefore the IDF is evacuating many residents from these areas to protect them. This activity harms the State of Lebanon and its citizens.”

The IDF emphasised that “prior to the strikes, steps were taken to minimise the risk of harm to civilians, including advance warnings, use of precision munitions, and aerial observations.”

Concluding its statement, the Israeli military said it “is acting forcefully against the terrorist organisation Hezbollah, which chose to join the campaign and operate under the auspices of the Iranian terror regime, and will act against anyone who threatens the citizens of the State of Israel and the residents of the North in particular.”

The crisis between Israel and Hezbollah which has engulfed Lebanon led to France President Emmanuel Macron, warning that hostilities between both parties must cease.

Earlier, France issued a stern warning to Israel, urging it to halt its ongoing military operations in Lebanon. In a statement released via his official X handle on Saturday, March 14, 2026, French President Emmanuel Macron stressed the urgent need to prevent further escalation in the region.

“I met yesterday with President Aoun, Prime Minister Salam, and Parliament Speaker Berri,” Macron said, highlighting his recent diplomatic engagements in Lebanon. He emphasized, “Everything must be done to prevent Lebanon from sinking into chaos.”

The French President called for restraint on all sides of the conflict, stating, “Hezbollah must immediately halt its reckless escalation. Israel must abandon any large-scale offensive and stop its massive strikes, as hundreds of thousands of people have already fled the bombings.”

Macron noted that Lebanon’s executive branch is open to negotiations. “The Lebanese executive has signaled its willingness for direct discussions with Israel. All components of the country must be represented in them. Israel must seize this opportunity to launch talks and a ceasefire, find a lasting solution, and allow Lebanese authorities to fulfill their commitments in support of Lebanon’s sovereignty,” he added.

To facilitate progress, France has offered to host the talks in Paris. Macron affirmed, “France is ready to facilitate these discussions by hosting them in Paris.”
