Earlier on Friday, Larijani joined the Quds Day protests in Tehran and posted pictures of his participation.
Earlier, SaharaReporters reported that the United States President Donald Trump said he felt “honoured” by the killing of Iranian leaders amid the ongoing war involving the United States, Israel and Iran, describing Tehran’s leadership as “deranged scumbags” and claiming they have been “wiped from the face of the earth.”
Trump made the remarks in a social media post shortly after midnight in Washington on Friday, as fighting in the conflict that began on February 28 continued.
“They’ve been killing innocent people all over the world for 47 years, and now I, as the 47th President of the United States of America, am killing them. What a great honor it is to do so!” Trump posted.
Iran’s longtime supreme leader Ali Khamenei and several other top figures in Tehran have reportedly been killed since the war was launched by the United States and Israel.
Trump also criticised media reports questioning the effectiveness of the military campaign, saying coverage could make it appear that the United States was not succeeding.
“You would incorrectly think that we are not winning,” he said.
According to Trump, Iran’s armed forces are suffering major losses. He said Iran’s military is “being decimated, and their leaders have been wiped from the face of the earth.”
In another post on Truth Social, Trump warned of intensified military action against Iran.
“We have unparalleled firepower, unlimited ammunition, and plenty of time — Watch what happens to these deranged scumbags today,” he posted.
Meanwhile, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the American military would intensify its strikes on Friday, describing the planned operations as the heaviest bombardment since the war began.
“In fact, today will be yet again, the highest volume of strikes that America has put over the skies of Iran and Tehran,” Hegseth told a press conference.
Earlier, SaharaReporters reported that United States President, Donald J. Trump, reiterated his opposition to Iran obtaining nuclear weapons.
He also boasted that the United States of America produces the world’s largest oil, stating that if Crude Oil prices continue to rise, his country will make more money.
