Group Hails Matawalle’s Patriotism After Dauda’s Defection, Seeks National Honour

Just as many Nigerians have applauded the maturity display by the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle over the defection of the Governor of Zamfara state, Dauda Lawal from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the All Progressives Congress, APC, by embracing the defectee and his followers into the APC not minding if he is coming in to contest the APC’s Governorship ticket with him, the leadership of the APC Founding Sons Forum (APC-FSF) ably led by Honourable Godstime Chukwubuikem Samuel has called on the President to honour Bello Matawalle with the national honour as Commander, Order of the Niger (CON) for gallant show of patriotism and unity of purpose.

In a Press release made available to Journalists at Chelsea Hotel Abuja, Godstime who was in company of over 60 young Emerging Nigerian Leaders described Bello Matawalle as a leader that demystified service to the people with utmost loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC.

“we have witnessed some defection glitches experienced in some states due to personal interest. But here we are, Matawalle who has remained the principal leader of APC in Zamfara state open heartedly welcomed with open hands his political rival, Governor Dauda Lawal into the APC. This goes a long way to portray Matawalle as a selfless Nigerian who doesn’t think only about himself but about the general good of his people and his Principal, President Tinubu. Infact, Matawalle took this bold step to ensure there isn’t any division in the support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Zamfara state and by extension, North west Nigeria”, Godstime expressed.
