‘Waste the bastard’: Dramatic moment Nigerian soldiers gun down captured bandit without mercy

A circulating video has shown the dreadful moment some Nigerians soldiers captured a bandit who has been terrorising residents for months.

The video showed the captured bandit being interrogated by soldiers as he sat in the bush.

The soldiers, instead of arresting and handing him over to the police for prosecution, decided to take the law into their own hands.

The footage further showed the soldiers telling one officer, “Waste the bastard.”

The officer armed with an AK-47 rifle aimed at the bandit and gunned him down.

For some years now, bandits have terrorised communities across many states in Nigera, sacking and killing hundreds of people. They are also noted for kidnapping Nigerians, demanding and collecting ransom in millions of naira.

Last year, President Tinubu declared a state of emergency on security in a bid to curb the rising breakdown of law and order across the country.

However, despite this move, bandits, terrorists and other criminal groups have continued to operate, often evading the eyes of security operatives.
