Bala Mohammed Announces “Final Decision” on His Political Future Amid Uncertainty Over PDP Future

The governor of Bauchi state and chairman of the People’s Democratic Party Governors Forum, Bala Mohammed has reiterated his earlier stance on his allegiance to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) amid speculations linking him to a switch to another party including the coalition party – African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Governor Bala Mohammed while speaking to stakeholders from ten local government areas in Bauchi state whom he hosted today for Iftar Ramadan at the Bauchi state government house, declared that his final decision on his political future is to remain in the PDP.

He declared that he will not abandon the party for another due to the tremendous contribution of the party to his political career as well as the overwhelming support of the Bauchi state people to him which made him resolve to remain in the party.

 

Governor Bala Mohammed highlighted that the Nigeria’s political system allows for multiple political parties which makes one’s loyalty, commitment, and sheer dedication to his political party necessity for the sustainability of democratic growth and development.

He thereafter appealed to the people of Bauchi state, the members and the supporters of the PDP to remain committed to the Party and his administration, noting that their continued support will result in remarkable development for the state.

He emphasized the importance of cooperation as a factor to stability and peace in the state and as bedrock to good governance.
