HOW AN ACCURATE PROPHET WAS DESTROYED BY HIS WIFE

And it came to Pass that I had a friend, mighty friend. Gifted of God, he was a Prophet in our company. I was the master of the scriptures in our company, I was the one responsible for capacity building and training, I had eyes for the scripture but he was a Prophet.

In fact, he comes to fellowship with a big Bible but he never opens it. If you give him time to teach, he’ll just mount the platform and keep his Big Bible on the Pulpit and start Prophesying to People. Clean, Pure and accurate Prophecies. But, he doesn’t study his Bible.

One day he said to me that if he doesn’t see a vision, then he wouldn’t move in the Spirit. Until God shows him a vision, that’s when he moves. I told him ”Bro, you’re beginning to depend on your Gift, we don’t depend on gifts, we depend on Faith or the word of God”. Don’t Build your life on the Gift God has given you, Build your life on the word of God, I added.

He didn’t listen to me, he said I was saying that because, I was the scripture master. He said I was intimidating him with my strength in scriptures, he also said that he had his own place of strength which was the Prophetic and he operates by visions. I wished him Good Luck.

So one day, during our fellowship, I was teaching. I knew the anointing had come on him to Prophesy, so I finished my teaching and gave him the microphone to minsiter. When he came up, he began to prophesy and minister to People. When we were done, he saw me outside and said to me ”There was something I didn’t say while I was on stage: God will give you a Job, you will work for the Government, you will prosper, but when you Prosper, don’t forget me, Remember me” I said to him ”There’s no problem, I’ll remember you”

This Prophet friend of mine took off on the tangent of the gift to his destruction. When we were building capacity to believe the word of God, and to begin to live and order our steps by the word of God, he was living by a GIFT. A time came, his prophecies started becoming wrong.

When he brought the lady he wanted to marry, we that were building our lives by the word of God, we could see that the lady was not his wife. And when we challenged him, he said ”Let’s be truthful to ourselves: if there’s any seer here, I’m the one, that’s the one God gave me and In matters like this, this is a good place to need the ministry of a Prophet; I am a Prophet”… We were to go for his introduction, I turned back and travelled back to Abuja, because I knew we were not supposed to be making that trip. He went ahead and got married to that lady.

Many years later, I was preaching in a City and he heard that I was in that City, he came to that meeting to meet me. When I saw him after the meeting, he was Lean and tiny. I asked him what happened to him, he said ”My wife has finished me, I married a witch”. We couldn’t sleep that night because my friend was gone. This his wife was exceptionally skillful in her life of wickedness.

I gave him money and after 2 days, he’ll be looking for another one. At that time, the vision he was boasting with, his Prophetic and Gifts dried up. I wanted to establish a business for him in order to fulfil my vow to him. That was the time of cyber cafe, I wanted to open one for him. I bought 20 computers for him and sent it to his City, we also went to meet all this Network companies so they could supply Network for him, we wanted to pay for subscription for him so he could be browsing for free in his office, the company said we should pay them about 3 Million Naira, I’ve forgotten and it’s been a very long time now.

I sent the money for the network to him, when he received the money, the wife arose. Before we knew it, all the money for the Network was squandered, that was when I said ”we can’t continue this Project again, because I fulfilled my promise. Even though I fulfilled it, it didn’t change his condition.

LESSONS:
Instead of running after the Spiritual, Stay with the Spirit.

It is the word of God that’ll determine your choice of wife or husband or anything else in the world… That’s my valentine Gift for you. Stay with the Scriptures
