Indian authorities apprehend two Nigerian nationals, seize cocaine valued at N1 billion from drug cartel.

Indian police arrested two Nigerian nationals after dismantling an international drug syndicate in Delhi, seizing cocaine and MDMA worth about ₦1 billion.

The Delhi Police Crime Branch recovered 418 grams of cocaine and 925 MDMA tablets during coordinated raids in south and southwest Delhi.

The suspects, Frank Vitus Ume (47) and Sunday Otuu (53), were identified as key operatives, with Ume previously linked to narcotics offences and known for frequently changing locations to evade arrest.

Police said intelligence from Ume led to Otuu’s arrest in Mehrauli. Authorities revealed that the syndicate was allegedly controlled by a Nigeria-based kingpin, with drugs distributed through couriers.

Investigations into the broader network are ongoing.
