Slain FRSC Officer, Daughter Buried in Osun

The remains of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer Lasisi Oluwamayokun and her daughter, Adesewa, have been laid to rest in Osogbo, Osun State.

The burial service took place at St John’s Anglican Church, Ita-Olookan, where family members, colleagues, and sympathisers gathered to pay their final respects.

Oluwamayokun, aged 38, served with the Ogun State Command of the FRSC. She and her daughter were declared missing on November 2, 2025, after leaving their residence at Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Abeokuta, but never returned home.

Police investigations led to the arrest of Victor Fajemirokun, identified as the officer’s man friend, who reportedly confessed to luring the victims to Osun State where they were killed with the help of suspected herbalists. Two other suspects, Gboyega Daramola and Sunday James, were also paraded by the Osun State Police Command in connection with the crime.

At the burial, colleagues and mourners struggled to hold back tears as the caskets were lowered. A family member described the tragedy as “a painful and heartbreaking loss.”

The police confirmed that investigations are ongoing and the suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion of inquiries.
