Fire Razes Mopol 13 PMF Office, Armoury In Benue

A video obtained by SaharaReporters shows the Mopol 13 facilities engulfed in flames, with the offices and armoury completely burnt to ashes.

Afire outbreak has razed the Mopol 13 Police Mobile Force (PMF) office and armoury in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

SaharaReporters gathered that the incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, January 4, 2026.

A video obtained by SaharaReporters shows the Mopol 13 facilities engulfed in flames, with the offices and armoury completely burnt to ashes.

As of the time of filing this report, SaharaReporters could not immediately confirm the cause of the fire, including whether it was triggered by an electrical fault.

In the video, a distressed voice is heard narrating the extent of the damage.

“This is Mopol 13 that burned this morning, early this morning. This is the armoury; everything burned. Oh boy! Mopol 13 armoury got burned this morning,” the voice said.

The narrator further claimed that the Squadron Commander’s office was also affected by the inferno.

“Even the Squadron Commander’s office. Everything got burned. Wonderful, wonderful shall never end,” the voice added.
