Why American Missionary, Peter Fretheim Met Gen.Christopher Musa In His Jos Home
Minister of defense, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd), on Friday, 2nd of December, 2026, received foremost American missionary, Peter Fretheim in his Jos home.
In a statement sent to Reliant.ng by General Christopher Musa’s special media assistant, Abubakar Suleiman, the meeting was symbolic, characterized by shared concern for humanity as Peter Fretheim who has spent more than 28 years in Nigeria in his evangelical and humanitarian mission, offered prayer for the minister of defense, General Christopher Musa, urging God to grant the honourable minister divine wisdom, protection, and strength as he carries out his important responsibility of overseeing Nigeria’s security and unity.
General Musa in his statement, referred to the meeting as symbolic, marking a great recognition from a distinguished servant of God who has dedicated close to three decades of his life to humanitarian service in Plateau State. He explained that he feels motivated by the American preacher for his selflessness and exemplary service to humanity.
He described the prayer by Peter Fretheim as necessary in this dire period in which is grappling with insecurity occasioned by bàndits and terròrists; he stated that Peter Fretheim’s prayer for him is more than personal blessing but a necessity for divine guidance in carrying Nigeria’s national responsibility.
Peter Fretheim has for more 28 years, dedicated to evangelism and humanitarian service in Plateau State and other part of Nigeria. He runs a nonprofit organization, SIM which is affiliated to ECOWAS church. Peter Fretheim alongside with his wife, Miriam has been dedicated to giving succour to orphans, displaced persons, and offering help to the destituted in Nigeria for close to thirty years.
