How Fubara Lied And Deceived Us About Tinubu –Factional PDP chairman
Factional caretaker committee chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Nname Ewor has accused River State governor, Siminalayi Fubara of lies, deception, and betrayal.
Dr. Nname Ewor while speaking on Thursday in a press conference, alleged that governor Sim Fubara made the PDP party’s leadership in Rivers state to believe that he had the presidential support and has the political muscle to wrestle with former governor Nyesom Wike and breakaway from his grip.
He stated that governor Sim Fubara after making the party believe in him, sacrificing for his political interest that he abandoned the party and defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
“While this disagreement was on, a lot of us were deceived into believing so many things that were not true,” Ewor said. “In other words, the governor deceived us. Rather than give us the true picture of things, we were led with propaganda and lies, making us believe that the governor would wrestle political control from Wike”, he stated.
The PDP chieftain also disclosed that governor Sim Fubara lied that president Bola Ahmed Tinubu was going to coerce Nyesom Wike and the members of the Rivers state House of Assembly into supporting his administration and 2027 reelection ambition. According to him, that belief made the governor to break the peace deal he had with Nyesom Wike.
“Rather than follow the path of peace to ensure smooth running of government, the Governor has been boasting that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not only force the State House of Assembly members to pass the budget, he will also force Wike to work for his reelection,” he stated.
“The mandate he is holding was given to him by Rivers people, and all his actions and inactions affect those whose mandate he is holding,” he said.
“It is incumbent on him at this material time to fully disclose to Rivers people all the agreements he entered into in a peace deal brokered by the President before the emergency rule was lifted.”
