Senator Orji Kalu Tops List Of Billionaires From Southeast

The former Governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu has recently been listed as one of the top billionaires from Southeast geopolitical zone.

This was revealed from a verified research done by Nairametrics , a business blog in Nigeria.

The blog named the Chairman Senate Committee on Southeast Development Commission SEDC, Kalu, as one of the top ten (10) billionaires from the zone of the rising sun.

Kalu the only politician who made the list is the Chairman, SLOK Holdings, a conglomerate of numerous businesses which includes shipping, print media, importation of house hold merchandise, oil and gas, mining, real estate and several industries across Nigeria, West Africa, US, UK, Europe, China, Asia, Venezuela and Malaysia etc.

Recall in a magazine published by Forbes in 2017, Kalu was listed as a billionaire in dollars and number three in Nigeria.

Also recall Kalu made his money before joining politics. As early as 26 years, he was already a billionaire and till date he has maintained the cash flow which has traceable landmarks.

The South-East of Nigeria, home to Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo states, is widely recognized as the Igbo heartland.
