A video showing a tense exchange between a teacher and the parents of a student at a private school in Abuja has gone viral, sparking widespread discussion online.
The confrontation occurred at Starville School in Jahi, Abuja, after a teacher allegedly slapped a student who had reportedly pushed him twice.
Matters escalated when the child’s parents confronted the teacher during a meeting with the school principal and allegedly slapped him in retaliation.
The incident has since stirred debate about discipline, boundaries, and the responsibilities of both educators and parents within school environments.
@AseneBangoura83 stated, “The teacher is way too respectful and sheepish to be a man and these attributes are products of poverty. In that moment he was slapped, he considered the consequences of losing his job to retaliation. Hunger, house rent, children responsibility. All these thoughts perplexed him.”

@abazwhyllzz shared; “In my primary school,this kind of thing happened but the teacher was a lady. So she went back home and reported to her husband that a parent slápped her. The next day her husband came to school with thügs when the parent came to pick up his son,he was b3aten,and bundled out of the school. In summary to me,I think everybody should just mind their business. If you are a teacher don’t touch anybody’s child just teach and go your way anybody wey wan learn go learn to avoid things like this.”
