‘My daughter hates me, she is not taking care of me’: BBNaija winner Imisi’s mother cries out
The mother of BBNaija All Stars winner, Imisi, has opened up emotionally about her strained relationship with her daughter, claiming that the reality TV star now hates her and refuses to have anything to do with her.
In a viral video circulating online, Imisi’s biological mother almost broke down in tears as she narrated her side of the story while addressing accusations that she had neglected her daughter in the past.
According to her, despite not being educated or wealthy, she did her best to raise Imisi and even supported her journey in the Big Brother Naija house, praying and rooting for her success.
She said:
“I am the biological mother of Imisi. I know I might be bad but it is God that judges. I am not educated neither am I rich, but I thank God for supporting Imisi. To everyone blasting me that I didn’t take care of her, I say thank you but it’s good to always know the true story before judging. My own daughter said she hates me and can’t stand me. Is it that bad?”
Imisi’s mum, who was on stage with her daughter when she was declared the winner of BBNaija Season 10 at the grand finale, further revealed that she was not informed about the day her daughter would receive her prizes from Big Brother until late in the afternoon. She alleged that she was asked to dress up “as if Imisi was the one buying clothes for her before,” expressing deep hurt over the situation.
“I had to move out of where I was living because of all the curses and insults. Everyone said I was a bad mother, but nobody asked what really happened,” she added tearfully.
The emotional revelation has sparked massive reactions online, with many Nigerians expressing mixed feelings, while some sympathized with the woman, others urged her to handle the matter privately and allow time for healing between mother and daughter.
Ayodeji said, “God, I thank you for the parents you have given me. My parents could never do this, even if I am the worst daughter.”
