Wedding MC Cries Out as Driver Absconds With Bag of Dollars Meant for Son’s School Fees

A popular wedding MC, known in Yoruba culture as Alaga, Abisola Bamidele, has appealed for help after her driver allegedly fled with a bag containing her savings in dollars meant for her son’s education.

According to Bamidele, the suspect, identified as Ibrahim Opeyemi Gasali, was employed in July 2025. She recounted that Ibrahim had dropped her off at an event and later returned to her home, where he allegedly stole the bag of money before disappearing.

Speaking through an emotional video posted online, the distraught MC explained that she had been saving the money at home after facing difficulties accessing dollars from her bank during her first child’s overseas admission process.

“I decided to save in cash because when I needed dollars for my older child’s school fees, I couldn’t get any from the bank, even though I had enough in my domiciliary account. I ended up buying from the black market,” she lamented.

She said Ibrahim, who had become familiar with her routine and household, took advantage of her absence to cart away the savings and has since gone into hiding.

Bamidele added that Ibrahim’s family has also denied knowledge of his whereabouts, urging Nigerians and security agencies to help track him down.

“I worked so hard for that money. Please, if anyone knows where he is, help me,” she pleaded.
