Nobody Will Use Me or My Loyalists for PDP Negotiation – Wike Blows Hot
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has sent a strong warning to those trying to use him or his loyalists as bargaining chips in the ongoing crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaking in Abuja after a court stopped the party’s planned national convention in Ibadan, Wike didn’t hold back.
He said:
Let me be clear nobody, and I mean nobody, will use us to negotiate for anything. We’ve sacrificed for this party, but we won’t be traded for personal gain.
The outspoken minister accused some party members of trying to hijack the PDP, insisting the fight is about due process, fairness, and respect for the law.
⚖️ The Abuja Federal High Court, led by Justice James Omotosho, had earlier stopped the PDP’s November 15–16 national convention, ordering the party to fix its internal crisis first and properly issue the required 21-day notice.
