Veteran Actress Peju Ogunmola Returns to Acting Months After Losing Her Only Son

Veteran Nollywood actress Peju Ogunmola has announced her return to acting, a few months after the heartbreaking loss of her only son, Ayomikun.

In a touching video shared online, the actress opened up about her journey through grief and expressed deep gratitude to everyone who stood by her during her most difficult moments.

“Since the past two months that I lost my only son, I have been in depression and sadness,” she said. “But as I was mourning my son, the whole world made me know that they are behind me. I saw all the love they showed me, their prayers, and their gifts. I am very grateful. From the bottom of my heart, I want to say a big thank you to everyone.”

Ogunmola went on to explain that her decision to return to the screen is inspired by her late son’s memory.

“I will return back to what I love doing, not because the pain is gone, but because my son, Ayomikun, would want me to live my life again. So all filmmakers, I am back to the screen,” she said.

In the caption accompanying her video, she added:

“A new month, a new dawn. The past months have been heavy, but your love, prayers, and condolences have carried me through the storm. 💔 Today I rise, stronger, grateful, and ready to embrace my passion again. The screens have missed me… and I’m back, doing what I love most. 🎬❤️”
