In a strong show of solidarity and renewed commitment to party progress, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Wards 12 and 13 in Akungba-Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government Area, held a joint meeting sponsored by Asiwaju (Dr.) Adegboyega Adefarati.
The gathering, which drew a large turnout of party stalwarts, emphasized unity, internal cohesion, and strategic collaboration as key pillars toward ensuring the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the continued dominance of the APC in Ondo State ahead of the 2027 general elections

A CALL FOR PARTY UNITY AND COHESION AHEAD OF 2027 GENERAL ELECTIONS AT THE APC JOINT MEETING OF WARD 12 & 13, AKUNGBA , SPONSORED BY ASIWAJU ADEGBOYEGA ADEFARATI (AAA).
In a bid to strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) and preparation for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Ward 12 and Ward 13 of Akoko South West Local Government, Akungba-Akoko, converged for a joint meeting that emphasized unity, cooperation, and renewed commitment to the party’s success.
During the meeting, Hon. Abiodun Ogunbi AKA Onireason , a former two-term Member of the Ondo State House of Assembly and one term Chairman of Akoko South West Local Government who is equally one of the arrow heads of Hon Olubunmi Tunji Ojo political family in Ondo State, made a passionate call for party unity and cohesion among members.
He stressed that collective progress and internal harmony remain the bedrock of the APC’s continued dominance in the state and across Nigeria.
According to him, “This is the time for every loyal member of our great party to close ranks, work together, and ensure victory for all APC candidates come 2027. Division within the ranks will only empower the opposition. We must remain one strong, united family.”

Hon Abiodun Ogunbi stressed further by analysing the support of Hon Olubunmi Tunji Ojo (BTO) to the success story of Asiwaju Gboyega Adefarati, particularly in the area of employment creation, such as Fire Service, Immigration, Civil Defence and Correctional Service. Jobs of different categories in the above stated organisation has been dish out to people of our Federal Constituency, therefore we need to appreciate the Hon TUNJI OJO in this regard, Hon Ogunbi said.
In furtherance of his speech, Hon Ogunbi said that, it is a rare opportunity for a first timer in the National Assembly to emerge as Committee Chairman, but Asiwaju Gboyega was able to achieve this great feat through the instrumentality of the Hon Minister of Interior, Hon Bunmi TUNJI OJO (BTO).
The meeting which was witnessed an impressive turnout of party leaders, stakeholders, and loyal members, also reaffirmed confidence in the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. The gathering applauded the quality representation of Asiwaju (Dr.) Adegboyega Adefarati, describing him as a dedicated representative who has been delivering effectively on his mandate.
Members collectively passed a vote of confidence on President Tinubu’s administration and the leadership style of Dr. Bunmi TUNJI OJO as well as Dr. Adefarati, urging continued support for their policies and programmes.
Hon Abiodun Ogunbi reiterated the difference between House of Assembly and National House of Representative,
stating that, hundred of House of Assembly can never withstand one House of Representative member in terms of financial muscle and countless opportunities,which to the glory of God, had been witness so far in our Local government therefore we shouldn’t jeopardize the golden seat to Assembly seat, the difference is clear, Ogunbi said.
According to Hon Abiodun Ogunbi had painstakingly held a penultimately meetings that combined Executives of the two wards to strategically position the wards for success in the coming election, this indeed is a true reflection of unity and harmony between the two wards as projected by Hon Bumbi Tunji Ojo and Asiwaju Gboyega Adefarati.
The joint meeting of the two wards further underscored the importance of unity in achieving electoral success and consolidating the APC’s influence in Akungba and beyond. With renewed zeal, party faithful vowed to continue mobilizing support at all levels to ensure a resounding victory for the APC in 2027.
