Israel Confirms Release Of All 20 Living Captives From Gaza Under Trump-Brokered Ceasefire Deal

IDF stated that there are no more living Israeli hostages in Hamas captivity.

Israeli officials have confirmed that all 20 living captives have been released in Gaza, under the terms of Donald Trump’s 20-point plan.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in a post on its official X handle, confirmed that 13 returning hostages were being escorted by IDF and ISA forces on their way back to Israel.

IDF stated that there are no more living Israeli hostages in Hamas captivity.

Earlier, Hamas released seven Israeli captives into the custody of the Red Cross in Gaza.

According to the statement, upon arrival, they will undergo an initial medical assessment to evaluate their condition after being held captive by Hamas.

“The commanders and soldiers of the IDF salute and embrace the returning hostages as they make their way home to the State of Israel,” the IDF stated.

The military has launched Operation “Returning Home” to secure the return of the remaining hostages from Hamas captivity.

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit has appealed to the public to act responsibly and with sensitivity, respecting the privacy of the returning hostages and relying solely on official information.

This request, the statement noted, aims to protect the dignity and safety of those being released.

This development comes as part of a ceasefire agreement brokered by US President Donald Trump, which includes the release of nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the Israeli hostages.

The agreement also allows for the immediate provision of “full aid” to Gaza, which has faced severe food shortages and famine in some regions.
