Abuja Lawyer Warns of New Scam: Fraudsters Pose as Security Agents with Fake “Invitation” Letters

An Abuja-based lawyer has alerted Nigerians to a rising scam in which fraudsters impersonate security agents and send victims fake letters inviting them for questioning.

According to the lawyer, the scammers aim to frighten recipients into believing they are under investigation, then demand money to “close the case.”

Some victims, panicked and anxious, have paid the demands.
