Popular Fuji musician, Taye Currency, has raised the alarm over what he described as a deliberate attempt to tarnish his image and reputation in the entertainment industry.
The Ibadan-born singer alleged that some of his colleagues, who are unhappy with his political stance, have gone as far as sponsoring smear campaigns against him through certain bloggers.
He explained that his decision to align with political figures is a matter of personal conviction and should not be misconstrued as betrayal or opportunism.
The veteran Fuji star, who commands a huge following across the South-West, noted that while the negative campaigns may temporarily stir controversy, they cannot overshadow his contributions to music and society.
He also urged his fans to disregard defamatory reports and continue to support authentic Fuji music, promising to remain focused on his craft despite the distractions.
