Tears in Enugu as Parishioners Pray at Site Where Catholic Priest Was Murdered

Priests and lay faithful of the Catholic Diocese of Nsukka, Enugu State, have held a rosary procession at the spot where Rev. Fr. Matthew Eya was tragically m#rdered on Friday, September 20, while returning from a pastoral assignment.

Until his passing, Fr. Eya served as the parish priest of St. Charles Catholic Church, Eha-Ndiagu.

Community sources revealed that the incident happened along the Eha-Ndiagu road when assailants on a motorcycle intercepted his vehicle and shot him dead on the spot.
