Gunmen Shoot APC Leader Dead In Front Of Family
According to PM News, eyewitnesses said Udeh was killed in the early hours of Monday, September 22, 2025, when the gunmen stormed his residence at around midnight on a motorcycle and lay in wait until his return.
Yet-to-be-identified gunmen have reportedly shot dead a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Ejeh Udeh, in Otukpo, Benue State.
According to PM News, eyewitnesses said Udeh was killed in the early hours of Monday, September 22, 2025, when the gunmen stormed his residence at around midnight on a motorcycle and lay in wait until his return.
“The moment he stepped into his compound, the attackers surrounded him and opened fire at close range,” one source recounted.
The assailants reportedly killed Udeh in the presence of his wife and children.
Neighbours said they heard sporadic gunshots that shattered the silence of the night and caused panic across the community.
However, by the time residents rushed out, Udeh was found lying in a pool of blood.
He was later confirmed dead, and his remains have since been deposited at the Otukpo General Hospital morgue.
SaharaReporters’ attempts to confirm the incident from the police were unsuccessful, as the Public Relations Officer of the Benue State Police Command, SP Anene Sewusese, did not answer calls to her mobile phone or respond to a message sent to her as of press time.
Meanwhile, the incident has reportedly thrown Udeh’s family and the people of Otukpo community into mourning and panic.
