N22.7 Trillion Printed Under Buhari Destroyed the Naira

Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has opened up on how the Buhari administration allegedly printed and pumped ₦22.7 trillion into the economy through “Ways and Means,” a move he said ruined the value of the naira.

According to Dogara, the forex system under Buhari only enriched a select few, while ordinary Nigerians struggled with inflation and economic hardship. He described the process as “voodoo economics” that pushed the nation’s economy to the brink before President Tinubu came into office.

He further explained that Tinubu’s current reforms, including changes to tax laws, are attempts to clean up the economic mess left behind.
