EKSU Responds to Viral Footage Showing Neglected Omolayo Hostel.

Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, has released a statement in response to a widely circulated TikTok video depicting the deteriorated state of Omolayo Hostel, situated off-campus.

The university administration acknowledged the concerning condition of the facility while clarifying that it is not under institutional ownership.

While acknowledging late Dr. Lawrence Omolayo’s philanthropic contribution in constructing the hostel, the university emphasized that it cannot intervene in matters pertaining to the Omolayo family without a formal invitation.

Nevertheless, the management expressed readiness to cooperate with the family in restoring the facility, acknowledging its significance as part of Dr. Omolayo’s lasting legacy that continues to serve the student community.
