Kwara Community Deserted as Bandits Demand ₦100m Ransom

Fear has gripped Ndanaku community in Patigi LGA of Kwara State after bandit attacks forced residents to flee. Three villagers were abducted, with kidnappers demanding ₦100 million for their release.
The once-bustling town now lies deserted, with homes and shops abandoned. Community leaders, in a letter to Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq, warned that the village has “become a den of bandits,” citing killings, farm destruction, and livestock rustling.
Despite repeated appeals for security deployment, residents say no action has been taken, leaving the community in crisis.
