AAC Demands Wike’s Removal As FCT MInister Over Corruption Allegations
The African Action Congress (AAC) has demanded the immediate removal of Nyesom Wike from his role as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), citing alleged corruption, abuse of office, and intimidation of residents.

The call comes after reports linked Wike to the purchase of a $2 million mansion in Florida, U.S., reportedly registered under the names of his wife and children.
The party claimed that Wike has been involved in corrupt practices, including secret land allocations to family members and close associates.
Among the allegations, his 90-year-old father reportedly received a plot of land in Guzape II valued at N400 million.
The AAC also accused Wike of pressuring business owners and market operators in Abuja, threatening land seizures if they did not support his preferred candidates in upcoming council elections.
The AAC called on President Bola Tinubu to order a thorough investigation into Wike’s finances and activities.
The party said that Wike’s reported wealth and the Florida mansion were inconsistent with his official salary and allowances, raising concerns about illicit enrichment and misuse of public resources.
The party described Wike’s alleged actions as a threat to democracy, urging that residents of the FCT be protected from intimidation.
They also appealed to Nigerians to demand accountability and transparency from public officials, warning that corruption and abuse of office must not go unchecked.
The AAC’s statement stressed the need for urgent action to prevent further erosion of public trust, calling for Wike’s immediate removal to safeguard democratic processes and the interests of FCT residents.
