PDP Media Architects Rally Support for Rt.-Hon. Tunji Odeyemi’s Chairmanship Bid
August 17, 2025
The media team of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State has declared its full support for the former Acting Governor, Rt.-Hon. Tunji Odeyemi, in his bid for the State Chairmanship position.
According to the group, Odeyemi enjoys widespread acceptance across the three senatorial districts, a popularity rooted in his impactful leadership and the enduring legacies of his administration.
To drive the mobilisation efforts, a strategic media committee has been inaugurated. The team is chaired by Mr. Tosin Ajayi, popularly known as Tosin Osoko, with Mr. Akiti Ifeoluwa Henry, also known as Granddaddy, serving as co-chairman.
The inaugural meeting of the committee, held on Saturday at Ode-Ekiti, officially launched a state-wide engagement plan described by stakeholders as an affirmation of proven leadership rather than a contest.
In the words of the group:
> “There are no serious contenders left in the race. What we see are scattered interests without clear direction, while those who once stood as rivals are gradually stepping aside.”
Political observers note that Odeyemi’s humility, accessibility, and people-centred approach have repositioned the PDP as a more united party in Ekiti, silencing internal wranglings and strengthening its base against external opposition.
With this momentum, the Chairmanship race is fast aligning in Odeyemi’s favour, with his 25 years of active and loyal service in the PDP standing as proof of his consistency, dedication, and capacity to lead.
Signed:
Comrade Idowu Afuye
