Obesere Speaks Out on K1 Airport Saga, Urges Fuji Musicians to Protect Genre’s Image

Fuji icon PK1st De Legend, Alh. Abass Akande Obesere, has broken his silence following the controversial airport incident involving K1 De Ultimate at Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport.

Calling the incident “unfortunate,” Obesere emphasized that Fuji musicians must carry themselves with integrity — on and off the stage — as global ambassadors of a respected music genre.

> “Fuji is now a worldwide brand. Our behavior must reflect the prestige we’ve built over the years,” he said.

He urged K1 to speak up and clear the air, not just for his own reputation but for the Fuji community at large.

Obesere also called on aviation authorities to handle the situation fairly and without bias — stressing that safety protocols must apply to everyone, regardless of status.
