Akoko Traditional Rulers Hail Appointment of Olumode Samuel Adeyemi as CG of Fire Service
The Council of Traditional Rulers in Akoko land has expressed joy and commendation over the recent appointment of Olumode Samuel Adeyemi as the Controller General (CG) of the Federal Fire Service, describing it as a well-deserved recognition of competence, integrity, and national service.
In a statement issued collectively by the royal fathers across the four local government areas of Akoko in Ondo State, the monarchs congratulated Olumode and praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for entrusting such a vital national assignment to a man of proven capacity.
Though Olumode hails from Kabba in Kogi State, his deep-rooted connection to Akoko land being married to a daughter of Akoko has endeared him to the people of the region. The traditional rulers acknowledged this familial bond and described him as “a son-in-law of honour whose achievements continue to bring pride to Akoko households.”
His elevation, they noted, is not just a personal achievement but a source of inspiration to the younger generation and a reflection of the unity and shared heritage among Nigeria’s diverse ethnic communities.
“We see this appointment not just as a national honour but also as a recognition of the values we uphold in Akoko land hard work, loyalty, and service,” the monarchs stated.
They offered prayers for wisdom, strength, and protection for the new CG as he assumes office, urging him to continue to uphold professionalism in the Fire Service and contribute positively to national safety and emergency management.
The statement concluded with a call for all Nigerians to support public servants like Olumode Samuel Adeyemi in achieving success in their responsibilities, as the progress of the nation depends on the effectiveness of its institutions and the quality of its leadership.
