Guardiola to Step Away from Football for Extended Rest

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has revealed he plans to step away from football for an extended break once his spell with the club comes to an end.

Since arriving at the Etihad in 2016, the 54-year-old has led City to remarkable success, securing 18 trophies, including six Premier League titles and a Champions League crown. His current deal, signed in November, runs until 2027.

Speaking to GQ Spain, Guardiola confirmed he intends to prioritise his health after his time in Manchester.

He said, “I already know that once this chapter at City is over, I will stop — that’s certain.

“It’s a decision I’ve made. I just don’t know for how long — maybe a year, maybe several. But I need to take a step back to look after myself and my body.” He addded
