Real Madrid Set to Offload Alaba, Rodrygo, and Mendy Amid Uncertain Futures

Real Madrid is reportedly prepared to part ways with three senior players — David Alaba, Rodrygo Goes, and Ferland Mendy — in the ongoing summer transfer window, according to Diario AS. The Spanish giants are said to be reshaping their squad under new manager Xabi Alonso, and the trio may not be part of the club’s long-term plans.

Despite the club’s readiness to negotiate exits, it won’t be a straightforward process. Notably, Madrid considered paying off part of David Alaba’s contract to facilitate an early departure, but the Austrian defender declined the offer, expressing his desire to remain at the Santiago Bernabéu.

None of the three featured in the recent Club World Cup semi-final loss to Paris Saint-Germain — a sign that their roles have diminished. With the new season approaching quickly, their lack of guaranteed game time under Alonso leaves their futures hanging in the balance.
