Former Niger Delta Militant Turns Pastor, Graduates from University with Wife
A former militant leader from Ogoni in Rivers State has transformed his life from one of violence to one of purpose and service. After surrendering his guns to the police through the efforts of the pastor of OPM Church, he underwent rehabilitation and was given a second chance.
With the support of the church, he was given scholarships to study at OPM Bible College, where he excelled and met his future wife, a member of the church. The couple’s dedication to their faith and community led to their appointment as leaders of the OPM Kogi Branch, where they excelled in soul-winning and community outreach.
Their success caught the attention of the church leadership, and they were promoted to International Pastor, with a posting to OPM Benin Republic. While serving in Benin Republic, they were awarded a fully-funded scholarship to study at OPM University, courtesy of the church’s tithes and offerings.
On June 3, 2025, the couple graduated from the university, marking a significant milestone in their journey. They have also been blessed with two beautiful children, a boy and a girl. This remarkable story is a testament to the power of redemption and the impact of faith and community support.
