NDLEA Seizes N9.3 Billion Worth of Opioids at Port Harcourt Port Complex
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) intercepted a massive haul of opioids worth N9.3 billion at the Port Harcourt Port Complex in Onne, Rivers State.
The seizure included 825,200 bottles of codeine-based syrup and trodol, valued at N5.7 billion, and 5.1 million pills of opioids, primarily tapentadol 225mg, worth N3.5 billion.
The operation was conducted during a joint examination of seven watch-listed containers with Nigeria Customs Service and other security agencies.
